Website Terms of Use

Effective date: 2 September 2026

1. Who we are

MathsWithDan is operated by Daniel Akinleye, a sole trader trading as MathsWithDan. Our website is https://mathswithdan.com. Contact us at info@mathswithdan.com.

2. Acceptance and other terms

By using the website, you agree to these Website Terms. If you buy tuition or course access, the Tuition Terms and Conditions also apply. Our Privacy Notice, Children’s Privacy Notice, Cookie Notice and Safeguarding and Student Code of Conduct also apply where relevant. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the website.

3. Changes and availability

We may update the website, content and these terms. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability and may suspend access for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We will take reasonable steps to minimise unnecessary disruption to paid services.

4. Accounts

Account information must be accurate. Passwords and access links are confidential and must not be shared. One purchase permits access only for the student or household expressly covered by that purchase. We may suspend or disable access where we reasonably believe an account is being shared, misused, compromised or used in breach of these terms. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

5. Intellectual property and permitted use

Unless stated otherwise, website content, teaching videos, lesson recordings, worksheets, predicted papers, questions, solutions, graphics, branding and other materials are owned by or licensed to MathsWithDan and protected by intellectual-property law.

A paying user may view materials and download or print materials expressly made downloadable for that student’s personal, non-commercial study. You must not copy, record, screen-record, modify, republish, sell, upload, distribute, share login access to, or commercially exploit our materials without written permission. Teachers and schools must obtain permission or the appropriate licence before distributing materials beyond the purchaser’s permitted use.

6. Automated access and data mining

You must not scrape, systematically download, extract or use the website or its content to build, train, fine-tune, test or validate an artificial-intelligence system or commercial database unless the law prevents us from restricting that activity or we have agreed in writing.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • break any law, impersonate another person, misuse another person’s account or act fraudulently;
  • harm or attempt to harm a child or any other person;
  • bully, threaten, harass, discriminate against or humiliate anyone;
  • share obscene, sexual, hateful, violent, defamatory, infringing or otherwise unlawful material;
  • share personal contact information in lesson chat or try to move another student into private contact;
  • advertise, spam, disrupt lessons or use chat for unrelated purposes;
  • introduce malware, attack the website, bypass access controls or attempt unauthorised access;
  • record, photograph or redistribute a lesson or another participant without written permission.

We may remove content, mute or remove a participant, restrict features or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or serious/repeated misconduct. Where practicable, we will explain the reason to the customer or parent/guardian.

8. Information and third-party links

Educational content is prepared with reasonable care but may contain occasional errors and is not a guarantee of any grade, examination result, school decision or university outcome. External links are provided for convenience; we do not control third-party websites.

9. Viruses and devices

You are responsible for suitable internet access, a compatible device, current software and reasonable security protection. We do not guarantee that the website will be free from every bug or malicious item, although we take reasonable precautions.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or a consumer’s statutory rights. Subject to that, MathsWithDan is not responsible for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control, misuse of the website, incompatible equipment or failure to follow reasonable instructions. Different terms relating to paid services are set out in the Tuition Terms.

11. Reporting concerns

Report website misuse, account problems or complaints to info@mathswithdan.com. Put “Safeguarding concern” in the subject line if the matter concerns a child’s safety. Call 999 where someone is in immediate danger.

12. Law

These terms are governed by English law. Consumers living in Scotland or Northern Ireland may also use their local courts where applicable. Otherwise, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
